Peggy Reskin – Women’s Rights Author – Coming To Women At Woodstock

Peggy ReskinPeggy Reskin is an author who came forward to share her story at just the right time: Now. We are in the midst of a powerful tidal wave of renewed activism, commitment, and determined solidarity in working for what is right. And that is the story that Peggy shares; of her own life, coming of age and bravely seeking a new direction during the upheaval of the 60’s and 70’s. For women’s liberation, for sexual liberation, for life lived with purpose and enlightenment, Peggy was a frontrunner. And thus the title of her book, just released this spring: Barefoot Frontrunners: sex, women and power, an inquiry into our knowledge and experience of the women who came before us, the women who stood for us, and where we are in finding our voice and our place in the political chaos of 2017.

The 2017 Women’s March brought women of all ages and stages together across the country and across the world: We are here to be seen and heard and to fight once again for our place – and the place of others of different faiths, races, and cultures – in the world around us.

Says Peggy,

We discover as women our power through choice and responsibility, sexually and politically: each woman on her own, bringing with her the spectrum of her desire and care.  Each story, your story, is unique and is the basis for your full expression. In finding our history, we find our power; in finding our truth, we find our destiny.

We are so thrilled that Peggy will be teaching the workshop, “Finding your History, Finding your Power” at Women At Woodstock 2017. It’s going to be a kickass session that will inspire and energize us all!
